Planning in the moment (PITM) is an early years practice developed by Anna Ephgrave. It is a play-based pedagogy which is routinely recognised as a basis for learning in early childhood.
The implementation of Planning in the moment allows children to learn by 'playing where they want, with whatever they chose, for as long as they want, in whatever way they want' (Ephgrave 2020:11).

Consultancy
Nikki has worked with a variety of different Early Years providers looking at environment and staff interactions. She has supported the settings leaders and managers to make changes to improve outcomes for the children.
Nikki has been an Early Years professional for over 30 years having worked in a number of different types of settings from childminding to day care. She currently runs Little Learners Pre-School based in Hertfordshire where she specialises in Planning in the moment.
Nikki begun her Early Years education by gaining her NNEB at Waltham Forest College. This was followed with a BA(Hons) in Early Years from the Open University. In 2022, she graduated with an MA in Early Education studying at the Centre for Research in Early Childhood.
